TH Swisher, of New Market, was killed by the caving in of a
gravel pit on the road between that place and Dowden school,
known as the Hicks pit. He made his home with his son, Howard
Swisher. A t one time he lived in Waveland in the house in the
creek bottom back of HH Lough's home. While here he worked as a
teamster. Many of our older residents will recall him and his
children, Howard and May. Funeral service on Sunday were
conducted by Rev. CG Airhart.
